Using BlinkOrigin
By creating an account or buying credits you accept these terms. You must keep your sign-in credentials, authenticator device and recovery key secure; actions taken through your account are treated as yours. We may suspend accounts, IP addresses or networks that abuse the platform.
Our Standards
BlinkOrigin is a quality stock image library platform, and we keep it that way with four hard lines on shared images. Not permitted anywhere on the site:
- Pornography or sexually explicit material
- Cults, coercive groups or exploitative recruiting
- Harmful connections — anything designed to exploit, groom or endanger
- Hate speech, or any other illegal content
Credits
Credits are purchased at £1 per credit through Stripe and are deducted when you buy a photo. Credits are a prepayment for licences on this platform: they are not transferable between accounts and, except where the law requires otherwise, are not redeemable for cash. Prices of individual photos are set by their authors in credits.
Photo licence for buyers
Buying a photo grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the downloaded image in personal and commercial projects. You may not claim authorship of a licensed image, nor use images of identifiable people or property in a defamatory or unlawful way. Watermarked previews may not be used anywhere; the watermark and the photo's permanent ID exist to protect authors' copyright.
Prohibited redistribution and resale
For the avoidance of doubt, the licence granted above is a licence to use an image, not to trade in it. Except with the prior written consent of BlinkOrigin and the image's author, you shall not, directly or indirectly:
- upload, submit, list or otherwise make available any image obtained from BlinkOrigin — in its original form or as a derivative — to any other stock library, image marketplace, print-on-demand catalogue or similar distribution service, whether free or paid;
- resell, license, sub-license, rent, lend or transfer any image, whether singly, as part of a group, bundle, collection or package, or embedded in a product (such as a template, theme or asset pack) whose principal value lies in the image itself;
- share, pool or syndicate your downloads so as to allow any third party to use an image without holding their own licence from BlinkOrigin.
Any breach of this clause terminates your licence to the affected images with immediate effect, may result in suspension or closure of your account, and may expose you to claims for copyright infringement by the author and by Helium22.
Authors and content
By uploading you confirm you created the work or hold full rights to it, including any required model or property releases, and you grant BlinkOrigin the right to display, resize and watermark it for sale. You keep your copyright. You earn 70% of each sale of your photos; the remaining 30% funds the platform's operation. Earnings are paid monthly to the Stripe account you link — we never hold your bank details. We may remove content that infringes rights or breaks the law, and repeated infringement ends the account.
Copyright complaints
If you believe an image on BlinkOrigin infringes your rights, contact us with the photo's permanent ID and evidence of ownership; we investigate promptly and remove infringing material.
Service and liability
We aim for continuous availability but the service is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site, and continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
